Thailand Sends In Crack Troops to Stop Vile Dog Trafficking to Vietnam!

Thailand sends in its best crack troops to crack down on the vile dog traffickers making their way to Vietnam with cargo loads of maltreated and dying dogs snatched from the streets of Thailand.

Top brass has declared war on this sickening pandemic as news and video footage of the most vile and sickening treatment ever to be seen across the western world goes viral on the World Wide Web.

Thousands of domesticated K9s are being crammed into rusty wired cages and being carried by the lorry loads across many of Thailand’s districts to be shipped out to a horrific fate that even I have to pause before saying.

Thailand’s predominately Buddhist nation that has always had a deep respect and enlightening philosophy towards nature and life, have found this treacherous dog trade against their beliefs and are trying desperately to eradicate this black mark on their nation.

Thailand’s multi million a year tourist trade is a predominate income to the land of smiles as they have become known and they have in recent years suffered greatly because of severe flooding and the horrific scenes of that devastating tsunami on the 26^th December 2004.

This horrific type of publicity is not what they need right now especially in this current climate of a world recession, so it comes as a big surprise that Thailand is now being over shadowed with the worst cruelty to dogs ever seen across the western world, as the dog traffickers bring this mighty spiritual nation through a dark part in its history.

As the eyes of the world descend down upon their nation and the plight for these poor animals reverberate across the world at large, you cant help to think that the Thai Government needs to act quickly and ruthlessly upon these sickening acts of terror and criminality, and to bring in new laws that can protect these animals better and bring more stringent penalties to those persons that are involved in this inhumane trade.

At this present time the Thailand authorities who arrest these devilish dog traffickers can only be prosecuted under the animal Epidemic Act that can only prosecute the trafficker for not feeding the dogs enough or protect them from disease.

This singular law that can be used which caries a smaller prison sentence and a payable fine, that probably works out to be a weeks loss of earning for the criminal involved.

Understanding this it does bring into question how serious the Thai Government really are at stomping out this vile trade, it will be interesting to see what develops over the coming weeks as I am sure the western world of dog lovers will be scrutinising the current affairs of Thailand from now on.

In contrast to the political and military situation, Thailand is a nation of dog lovers and the plight for the dogs are now growing, as the news spreads around the world so too does the remarkable acts of human kindness for mans best friend.

As charity organisations such as the Soi Dog Foundation are frantically working to rescue and home these poor K9s and are severely over stretched but determined, they are working along side their Government to protect Thailand’s dogs from the inhumane torture by the traffickers and the Vietnamese markets.

Every day over 1,000 dogs are inhumanely transported from Thailand to neighbouring countries where they are butchered by cruel and barbaric methods. However, the Soi Dog Foundation and the Thai government are actively working to end this appalling practice.

The conditions under which the dogs are transported and slaughtered are inhumane and many die from suffocation long before they reach neighbouring countries. In reality these are the lucky ones.

Those that are still alive are not humanely killed many are tortured often for hours before being skinned alive. The reason for this is that people believe that the pain inflicted leads to the tenderising of the meat. Most shocking of all, is that some dogs are still alive when their fur is removed.

This is a truly inspiring find and comforting to know, but in the whole scheme of things it’s just a tip of an iceberg compared to the humongous underground dog trade that is ruthlessly still going strong!

This trade is growing stronger every day now and regardless of the few that have been captured or arrested the determination of these criminals are fierce, it is estimated that each dog fetches a staggering price of 500 to 1,000 Bahts in the markets of Vietnam.

The Thai Veterinary Medical Association estimates that there could be as many as 500,000 dogs that are sold across the Mekong River that connects from the Tibetan plateau through to China, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

If we do the maths even approximately you might be astonished at the relevance of how much this trade is worth?

1. Each dog on the Vietnamese market costs = 500-1000 Baht.

2. Average dog cost = 750 Baht.

3. estimated dogs a year to trade = 500,000

4. 500,000 x 750 = 375,000,000 Baht per year!

5. Use a simple currency converter online and you are looking at a figure around?

6. Converted into United States Dollars = $12,127,881.85

7. That’s a very big trade don’t you think?

8. Now that is not including the many thousands that perish in transit.

That is one heck of a mighty trade worth millions of US dollars and even a whole lot more if you had to carry it Thailand’s Currency of baht?

I get the feeling if a criminal organisation is making these kinds of profits then you better believe that business is much bigger then the foretold estimate purported by the Thai veterinary Medical Association, how many poor K9 souls are really passing into this evil trade?

Once a country known for its natural balance with nature and its people as they have shared a long history of farming and animal husbandry, but now this quiet and peaceful land, has one of the darkest clouds looming over its nation.

Vietnam’s humanity is now in question as they now take centre stage for the worlds most sickening and inhumane treatment and slaughtering methods ever recorded in history.

Today is a very black day in the whole history of Vietnam as reports come flooding in around the world of draconian stile torturing of animals and the beating and skinning alive of stolen dogs from Thailand and no doubt the far east!

A serious question is now laid bare on your nation, a question of immoral and non humanistic behaviour never seen before in history, barbaric! Savage! Soulless acts of treachery to the laws of nature and the rightful husbandry of all live stock and to the souls of the animals you have so reeked terror upon for your selfless consumable needs, may God have mercy on your souls!

As we begin to build this horrifying picture it is becoming evident daily that this is a mammoth trade! To sit back and just watch this going on sickens me to my stomach, this evil and vile trade is running amok across the Far East and with no end in site!

You can only imagine the scale of this treacherous trade and if you come to realise that it is leaving a trail of lost souls from the provinces of Thailand and across into Vietnam and also making it to China, you have to wonder the real significances of the actual scale this is being implemented on?

The Far East has one of the largest populations on the planet and if our little K9 friends are a delicacy then you only need to multiply how many people are actually eating them, then sadly multiply that by the demand for the dogs tortured flesh and it becomes a terrifying calculation!

This horrific and barbaric treatment of the poor dogs of Thailand and elsewhere no doubt, need our help!
