What do women really mean by saying one thing but really are saying something else?

Let’s face it guys trying to figure out what women really mean when they say one thing but really mean something else, can baffle the best of us at times and it don’t matter how long you have been together either.
In fact, you would have to be telepathic or Robert Langdon from the ‘Da Vinci code’ to decipher the hidden meanings of a women.
Well we can certainly agree at the best of times we are just on different wave lengths, even from different planets but one thing is for sure we will need all the help we can get.
If a woman says?
- Yes!......................She really means No!
- No!........................She really means No!
- Maybe?.................She really means No!
- Do you love me?...Stand by! She wants something expensive.
- Maybe Later?.......She really means No! So you might as well forget about it.
- There is nothing wrong with me?..She really means yes there is and I want to take it out on you.
- Surprise me?..........You better ring Robert Langdon because no one gets this one right.
- I will have the salad.....She is really thinking I could do with a steak right now!
- We need to talk?........She really means you shut up and let me complain.
- Oh what’s on the telly tonight? She really means you sit here and be quite while she views her soaps.

From a woman's point of view (-; for some reason when we are younger we become adept at playing the old mind game. But as we grow older and wiser we don't have time for games anymore. I tell my daughters to tell their husband/boyfriend what they want from the beginning. Men and woman for that matter are not mind readers. My husband, and I believe most men are this way, is a bottom line kind of guy. He says just give him the baby and skip the labor pains. But for some reason we women want to give every detail and expect our men to be enrapt in our chattering. Men have a great way of slipping into their cave and make believe they are listening. Truly all a woman wants is for her man to love her enough to hear her heart. If he masters that there isn't anything she wouldn't do for him.
Thanks for posting Judi and yes I think you are totally right, us men just don’t have the capacity to keep up with the finest details of female conversation, I think men have a tendency to feel more comfortable looking from the outside in.

I think young women do the mind games to reaffirm that their love interest really loves them. Young women are very insecure sometimes. Maybe being secure in a relationship comes with maturity. Great hub though.

For whatever reason there seems to be a need for coyness in women. It's as if they are constantly testing the love we have for them because they know we start out strong and then our intensity wanes. Are we paying attention?
When it appears a woman is asking you to read her mind she may be actually asking you to know her in a way that enbles you to anticipate how she will react to given situations. When you consistently act clueless then it is a sign that they have lost your attention.
It's as if you have tuned the dial to another radio station.
